December was full of hard work and excitement as I prepped for and showcased at Cheshire Fashion Week. I had a week to make items for the 5 models provided by House of Dance and somehow managed to squeeze in matching hair bows and a headband too as well as making my own dress for opening night, phew, I'm still recovering! I loved every minute of it though as sewing really is my passion, creating 3D items out of a flat piece of fabric will never cease to amaze me.
I had a speaker slot on opening night for which I made my own Odette dress using B6677, I wanted to show my launch adult item in an alternative fabric and size. Amy Jane Photography kindly took this photo of me -
Sunday night was the catwalk, it was so exciting to see my items on the gorgeous models, they had at least 2 outfit changes for different designers and some were performing as well, they were amazing!
Adult and Mini Odette - Violette Fields Threads and Butterick B6677 patterns
Penelope with lace overlay - Violette Field Threads pattern
Blithe - Violette Field Threads pattern
Matilda with Rosemary pinafore - Violette Field Threads pattern
I thoroughly enjoyed this project and the results it produced. I'm still tweaking the styles and have different fabric options in mind but as soon as I'm happy I'll be adding them to my products page, if, in the meantime, you are interested in ordering any of the styles please get in touch!
